Bhajan Sandhya

On the auspicious occasion of Ganesh Puja, OSS Cultural Committee also organized a musical BHAJAN SANDHYA program for its members in the evening.   This was a virtual ZOOM event featuring live performance by renowned Bhajan singer of Odisha – Mrs. Anusuya Nath, who has achieved widespread fame for iconic Bhajans like “Dhanamali” and several other leading artists from Odisha.

OSS President Mr. Alok Panda gave the opening address welcoming all the OSS members and the performing artists.

The Bhajan Sandhya started with a beautiful Ganesh Vandana and several melodious Bhajans performed by the talented children and youth of Adruta Children’s Home Bhubaneswar – Sefalika Anand, Suryananda, Amrita, and Bipin Chandra Naik. Adruta Children’s Home is an award winning Not for Profit Child Care and Educational institution in Odisha supporting underprivileged children through holistic education and personal development programmes.

The evening also saw popular Bhajans being performed by “Biswashanti Bhajan Group” - comprising of leading Tabla exponent Jagabandhu Muduli and celebrated Bhajan Singers – Sudhansu Sekhar and Purnachandra Sahu.

Over 50 OSS families joined the online Bhajan Sandhya over ZOOM and enjoyed the programme in the comfort of their homes, with the LIVE streaming of the performance from Signature 113 Studio in Bhubaneswar where the artists were performing.  High quality Audio-Visual streaming ensured a smooth and pleasant audience experience.

The 3-hour program concluded with a Vote of Thanks by Mr. Alok Panda and felicitation of the artists and Adruta Kids.

The success of the event was made possible by the active support and participation of all the OSS members, with special appreciation for OSS Cultural Committee members - Mr. Subrat Nayak and Ms. Sasmita Pal who actively helped in the overall planning and artist coordination.

The program was compeered by OSS Anchors - Mr. Pratyush Hota and Mr. Lagnajit Patnaik.
